Sunday Sermon: Knowing - and not knowing - God

My sermon for the Second Sunday in Lent, Knowing - and not knowing - God, has been listed over at my sermons page.  In it I wrestled with John 3:8, "The wind blows where it chooses, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes."  With John 3:16 and the whole Nicodemus story, and with the wonderful Romans and Genesis texts, there were so many possibilities for preaching.

Peace to you!

There WERE so many possibilities for ALL these texts!

thanks for visiting my blog, too.

I really appreciate your thoughtful take on different issues.

Hello from a first time poster, from the back row pew at King of Kings. Thank you for letting us know about this website in class yesterday, I look forward to reading and contributing when possible. What stuck in my mind from the sermon yesterday was the part about someone once telling you God was like all the orange juice in the world and we might understand with our limited minds but one cup of the orange juice. I'm glad to have at least one small cup. I will keep this description handy for the next occasion when I attempt to explain my faith, which always seems so very difficult to do.
